Original sketch [link] by incredibly Edbenes [link]

Pencils by Edbenes

Inks by me

So i didnt draw the sketch, i only stand for the inks. Being extra clear since some people seem to mistake them self and think i drew it as well... which is way out of my league

Comments and critique always welcome

Very neat. The horizontal lines work well with the whole thing. Strict inking and bold use of black makes this quite brilliant.

I dunno, the market for inkers (even handsome ones like me) seem to be pretty low

-well keep looking, there are quite a few indie creators and artists out there looking for someone to do the inking chores on their books, granted some are "pay after play" jobs but there are some that are actual paying gigs just usually not well-paying gigs due to the fact that they are independents...

-have you tried Comic Space?
They have a bulletin board which often times has creators looking for artists, pencillers, inkers, and even colorists too.
Check them out at; [link]

Nice job man!

I would like to have seen more solids on her back and hair. Also, the explosion debris could have used a bit more solids or thicker lines here and there.

Keep it up!

It would depend on which kind of look you want on the debries. I can make them really stand out but that would make the thickness of the lines around them the same size as the actual debris... ive been disagreing with too much critique^^

I find that critiques are things to stew on and not jump on :)

Indeed.

I am very happy with the background tho, i always feel that sometimes i do my best work on the bg and not the actual character...

Excellent inks my friend. I really like the crisp, "Zen" approach you take, every line counts. Looking at this purely from that point of view of some one who would color this(I am by no means an expert, nor a pro), might I recommend not using such large areas of solid black on the skin. Skin by nature is very reflective and slightly translucent so it doesn't get such large areas of black unless you are doing high contrast (like Frank Miller). Maybe some cross hatching or gradient lines. I am talking mostly about the insde of the thigh. Other than that I don't see anyting to sepreate this from the pros. Even with it, that's just my two cents it still looks awesome.

Thanks man, i do make everyline count usualy.

Still if you look at the faraway arm and leg you
see that a large solid black areas are used. So
even if the part on the legs are a bit large its
not totaly out of place.

Thanks for the fav and input
